Description
- Technical Project Management: Responsible oversight of design projects in the fields of custom machinery, fixture, and plant engineering within an industrial setting, particularly in the automotive sector, from the concept phase through to final acceptance
- Responsibility for schedules, costs, and quality: Ensuring compliance with all project objectives, as well as early detection of and corrective action in the event of deviations
- Technical Design: Developing technically and economically viable solutions for systems, equipment, and facilities in consultation with customers and internal departments
- On-site team leadership: Technical coordination of a team of design engineers, technical drafters, and programmers at the Zwickau site
- Active design work using CATIA V5: Independent creation and maintenance of 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and bills of materials in the field of plant and fixture design
- Compliance with Standards: Ensuring adherence to relevant technical standards, guidelines, and customer-specific standards in the plant and manufacturing environment
- Reporting and Customer Communication: Preparing regular status reports and presenting results to clients
Wanted profile
- A degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable technical qualification, such as a technician with relevant professional experience
- Several years of experience in technical project management in plant, fixture, or custom machine engineering, ideally in the field of manufacturing equipment or industrial machinery
- Confident, independent use of CATIA V5 for 3D modeling, drawing generation, and assembly management
- In-depth knowledge of fixture, plant, or custom machine design, as well as experience in an industrial setting, preferably in automotive production
- Strong communication and facilitation skills: Confident interaction with customers and the ability to lead a team
- A structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Excellent written and spoken German: English language skills are a plus for working with international clients
