Right on schedule for the start of production on August 28, 2025, GFI Engineering delivered and commissioned two assembly stands for car body production. The joint project was launched back in 2024. The teams at Stadler and GFI Engineering worked very intensively on the design of the fixtures so that they could later be operated as efficiently, reliably, and ergonomically as possible. This collaboration represents another milestone in the more than 20-year partnership between Stadler and GFI Engineering. In the past, numerous welding and assembly fixtures have been delivered to various Stadler plants worldwide. The fixtures are used to the utmost satisfaction of customers and significantly increase production efficiency.

With its new plant in Salt Lake City, Stadler is taking an important step toward local value creation. In the future, aluminum car bodies will be manufactured directly on site. This will optimize transportation costs and strengthen the regional economy..

"We at GFI are incredibly proud of this successful project. The collaboration with Stadler was outstanding. Over the past few months, we have really driven the project forward in a spirit of partnership on both sides. Ultimately, this has resulted in a joint solution that is optimal for the customer. For GFI Engineering, this is another step toward internationalization and another success for us in the American market. I would like to thank our customer for their trust in our team," says Michael Mohr, CEO of GFI Engineering.
